About the Role:


The role is to proactively measure and monitor the performance and quality of design work by Architectural contractors delivering new build housing, as well as major construction upgrade and refurbishment projects. 


These projects include a wide range of housing typologies - from stand-alone single houses to urban terrace housing, three level walk up housing and high level apartment housing.


  • Provide architectural design and technical advice
  • building standards and quality design solutions are achieved to minimise risk
  • Review design submissions by the Development Team and provide feedback
  • Quality Assurance Design reviews
  • Review the proposed design layouts, building construction systems and details, materials and finishes
  • Interpret and recommend improvements to QA design processes and systems



About You:


Ideally you will have:

  • A Bachelors or Post Graduate qualification in architecture, building surveying, construction management or building related field
  • At least three years post graduate experience in a similar role or position.
  • LBP, BCITO and Unit Standard Assessor Qualifications in construction or design.
  • Empathy and understanding of social housing is desirable including knowledge of issues, priorities and concerns facing key customer and community groups in the region
  • Working knowledge of current residential building maintenance practices and or experience in property and construction.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality management systems and processes.
