Tribe Recruitment Group welcome new CEO

Tribe Recruitment Group are excited to have Bruce Pilbrow join the team as our new Chief Executive Officer

Tribe Recruitment Group are delighted to announce the appointment of Bruce Pilbrow as Chief Executive Officer. Bruce will lead the Group, enhancing its multi-brand strategy across Tribe Recruit, Tribe Tech, Tribe Executive, and Tau Mai. As the largest privately owned talent solutions business in New Zealand, our vision is to excel at serving the needs of our client organisations in the face of a changing talent market – including skill shortages, increased global competition for talent, the working-age population, changing workforce trends, and the impact of AI.

Co-Founders James Brooke and Jenny Jones said “Bruce brings a vision for the organisation that will ensure the growth of our brands, our adaption to the world of AI (both for our benefit and the client solutions we are developing), the gathering and ordering of vast amounts of global candidate data that ultimately differentiates us, and exceptional commercial capability. As a proven culture-based leader, as an innovator, and as a tenacious driver with a growth mindset, he will ensure our highly talented leaders and team continue to outperform the market with the knowledge and the service they provide our clients”.

Bruce’s appointment offers James and Jenny the opportunity to do what they believe they do best – get out in front of the business, to develop and add value to client relationships and ensure that the whole Tribe business delivers on its philosophy of added value partnership. “Bruce will bring an objective view to our organisation, so we can move beyond legacy recruitment and search models. He will challenge everything we do and ultimately set us apart from other recruitment and Executive Search businesses. The market is ready for change.”

Bruce brings extensive leadership experience to the role, holding executive and board positions at the Spirit of Adventure Trust, Zeal, Yellow, World Vision, CanTeen and Parenting Place. During his time at Parenting Place, he was appointed Deputy Chief on the families commission by John Key, when he was PM.

Congratulations to Bruce on this well-deserved role, we can’t wait to see the impact he will make. Bruce started in his new role on 3 November.
