Contract Project Finance Specialist
About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-known organisation with a strong track record of innovation. Their Enterprise Project Management Office leads business change across the organisation, and they now need a Project Finance Specialist to strengthen financial management across their project portfolios.
Your first focus will be an innovation portfolio of about 30 projects. You’ll make sure the organisation meets its financial management and reporting obligations to key stakeholders, and you’ll leave behind processes that someone else can run with confidence post contract tenure.
This is a 6-month contract, 4 days per week.
What you’ll do
You’ll set up and run the financial processes the programme needs: month-end, forecasting, reconciliation, invoicing and reporting, covering both contracted and in-kind spend. You’ll prepare quarterly roll-up reporting and the base data for funder invoicing, with clear, auditable backup. You’ll build easy-to-use dashboard reporting for the team and support budget summaries for governance. You’ll also help bring in a new portfolio management system, link it with finance, and document everything so it can be handed to an ongoing owner.
Throughout, you’ll work closely with project leads, Finance and senior stakeholders to find gaps in the information, close them, and explain the numbers clearly.
What You’ll Bring
To keep things simple, we ask that all applications are submitted through this advert. We’ll review applications as they come in and be in touch.
