About the Role:
As the Category Lead you are responsible for developing, leading and executing category plans and sourcing strategies that amplify value delivery. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. The Category Lead will use market trends and business objectives to inform and guide the development of individual contracts within the category, ensuring they contribute to the overall strategic vision and deliver maximum value for the organisation.

About You:
You’re a strategic thinker with proven expertise in category management, procurement, or commercial leadership. You’re adept at balancing strategic vision with hands-on delivery and have the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Above all, you’re motivated by purpose, using your commercial acumen to make a tangible difference. We will be looking for candidates with a good level of experience in category management and proven experience leading a team. You will be able to demonstrate expertise, at a senior leadership level, in category management roles working across different markets, geographies and categories within large organisations, including substantial spend under management and broad people leadership.

About the Opportunity A global leader in providing sustainable, natural, value-added food and beverage ingredients and solutions to customers worldwide. The purpose of this role is to develop a supply plan for activities to meet and exceed customer expectations on quality and DIFOT. Key accountabilities include:Develop and maintain accurate supply plans based on production forecasts, customer demand and seasonal variances.Use SAP and MRP systems to create and manage production schedules, ensuring the availability of raw materials and packaging.Collaborate with production and procurement teams to align supply plans with business objectives.Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials, work in progress (WIP) and finished goods to prevent shortages or overstock situations.Conduct regular inventory reconciliations using SAP to ensure data accuracy.Implement inventory optimisation strategies, including safety stock levels and reorder points.Review and adjust MRP outputs to address supply chain disruptions or demand changes.Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any supplier issues.A full position description is available. What You’ll Bring You will no doubt have a good few years’ experience working SAP and data analysis and an in-depth knowledge of the FMCG industry would be an advantage.
