About the Opportunity 
  • Provide practical, high-quality policy advice for Ministers and senior leaders
  • Lead and manage moderately complex policy projects, end-to-end
  • Build options papers that weigh costs, risks, benefits and implementation impacts
  • Partner with delivery teams so implementation is embedded in policy development
  • Work across agencies and stakeholder groups to bring diverse perspectives into advice

What You’ll Bring 
  • Experience producing clear, concise written advice using sound policy frameworks
  • Strong research and analytical capability; confident using data and literature
  • Knowledge of the public sector environment and the Machinery of Government
  • Strong relationship skills and the ability to work across diverse stakeholders
  • A strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its implications for policy work
