About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join an established, export-driven manufacturing business.
Based in Auckland with occasional travel nationally, you will provide commercial leadership and financial insight across Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain. This broad role will lead core commercial finance processes, including planning, forecasting, reporting and performance analysis, helping senior leaders make informed decisions and drive profitable growth.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will:
  • Partner with leaders to improve customer, product and brand profitability 
  • Lead budgeting, quarterly forecasting and longer-term strategic planning 
  • Own commercial reporting across Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain 
  • Analyse pricing, volume, margin, cost and product mix performance 
  • Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support key decisions 
  • Translate complex financial information into clear commercial recommendations 
  • Lead product costing, inventory reporting and working-capital analysis 
  • Improve and automate planning, reporting and forecasting processes 
  • Manage, coach and develop direct reports 
  • Contribute to wider strategic projects and business initiatives
What You’ll Bring
You will be an experienced commercial finance professional who is comfortable operating as both a finance leader and a trusted business partner.
You will ideally bring:
  • A degree in Finance or Accounting, with a CA qualification preferred 
  • Strong commercial finance and business-partnering experience 
  • Experience leading FP&A, budgeting and forecasting processes 
  • Experience within an export-driven manufacturing environment 
  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability 
  • The confidence to challenge assumptions and influence senior stakeholders 
  • Strong relationship-building and cross-functional leadership skills 
  • Experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems 
  • A questioning mindset, strong attention to detail and commercial curiosity
