Frontend Engineer

Apply
About the Opportunity
You will join a close-knit product squad embedded within one of several product streams. The work is web-first and hands-on, with plenty of opportunity to have impact quickly. You’ll be working closely with a Frontend Lead (strong guidance, good standards, pragmatic delivery) and reporting into a Head of Engineering.
This role has a healthy balance of:
  • New feature development (shipping meaningful improvements, not just small UI tweaks)
  • Technical debt and continuous improvement (raising the bar on maintainability and developer experience)
  • Performance work (because great UX is built, not hoped for)
The pace is lively and priorities can move, so you’ll suit this role if you enjoy variety and momentum, and if you like being part of a squad that solves problems together rather than throwing work over the fence.

The Tech Environment
Your day-to-day focus will sit firmly on the ReactJS web application, but you’ll operate in a wider engineering ecosystem that includes:
  • JavaScript/TypeScript
  • APIs (RESTful and/or GraphQL)
  • Backend services in Node.js
  • AWS and serverless components (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, etc.)
  • CI/CD foundations and monitoring/logging as part of delivering reliable software
You do not need to be a backend specialist, but you should be comfortable leaning in when needed, whether that’s understanding how data flows, helping troubleshoot an integration, or collaborating closely with backend engineers to get to the best outcome.
What You’ll Bring
  • Solid commercial experience building modern web apps with ReactJS
  • Strong JavaScript and/or TypeScript skills and a good feel for clean patterns
  • Experience integrating with REST and/or GraphQL APIs
  • A quality mindset across performance, accessibility, and maintainability
It’s a bonus (not a blocker) if you also have:
  • Node.js experience in production
  • Familiarity with AWS services and serverless architectures
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, observability, and production support practices
How You Work Matters Here
  • You bring a low ego, team-first style
  • You’re comfortable asking questions, sharing context, and helping others succeed
  • You have a “get it done properly” mindset, no heroics, no drama
What's on Offer
  • Join an international product organisation with real scale and an established engineering function
  • Work in a squad model with ownership, modern practices, and clear technical leadership
  • A role that values both delivery and engineering excellence
  • Hybrid working with a clear in-office rhythm that supports collaboration
