Senior Management Accountant
About the Opportunity
Our client, a large, infrastructure organisation delivering essential services across Auckland need an experienced Senior Management Accountant on a 4-5 month contract to coordinate their enterprise planning and reporting cycle. This is a high-visibility role where your work feeds directly into Executive and Board decision-making.
What you’ll be doing
Coordinating the annual budget, periodic forecasts and long-term financial plan from end-to-end. Setting timetables and assumptions, working with Finance Business Partners and budget owners on their submissions, and consolidating everything into clear, reconciled plans.
You’ll also produce monthly enterprise management reporting, explain the drivers behind variances and outlook changes, and prepare decision-ready material for senior leaders. Along the way, you’ll challenge unsupported assumptions, keep models and version control tight, and look for ways to simplify and automate the process.
