About the Opportunity
A well-established New Zealand manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join the senior leadership team at its Penrose site.
This is a highly visible role where you’ll own the numbers, provide commercial and operational insight, and help drive profit, cashflow and performance improvement across the operation.
You’ll partner closely with operational and functional leaders and take accountability for:

Monthly actuals, budget and forecast ownership and performance reporting
Delivering insightful analysis to support better decision-making and measurable improvement
Influencing profit and cash delivery and supporting growth initiatives
Leading and developing a small finance team
Strengthening financial governance and ensuring the financial integrity of the business

What You’ll Bring

Chartered Accountant (or equivalent)
Strong commercial finance leadership experience
Experience within a manufacturing/operations environment
Proven capability in budgeting/forecasting, performance management and stakeholder partnering
A pragmatic, proactive style suited to a fast-paced, operational setting

Due to their current Financial Accountant heading overseas, we are now looking for someone to take ownership of financial reporting, controls and compliance, while playing a key role in supporting operational performance. This is more than a traditional reporting role. You’ll work closely with manufacturing and warehouse leaders, turning financial and operational data into practical insights that help improve performance, strengthen processes and support better decision-making.
