We’re looking for a Senior Data Migration & Modelling Consultant to support our client on an engagement focused on reverse engineering legacy warehouse/analytics logic and producing high quality source-to-target mappings to enable migration onto a modern Microsoft data platform.
This is a hands on role suited to someone who can move quickly, bring structure, and produce clear artefacts stakeholders can actually use.

This is a hands on role suited to someone who can move quickly, bring structure, and produce clear artefacts stakeholders can actually use.
What you’ll be Doing
- Analyse legacy data warehouse / analytics platforms and reverse engineer data flows
- Interpret and document transformation logic, calculations, business rules
- Produce source-to-target mapping specifications and migration documentation
- Define data lineage/traceability and establish mapping/documentation standards
- Support design playback sessions and stakeholder validation of assumptions
- Contribute to refactoring/simplification of legacy warehouse patterns (including Data Vault where relevant)
- Use AI tools to accelerate discovery, while validating outputs and ensuring accuracy
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills (able to inspect, validate and explain logic)
- Proven experience with dimensional modelling (Kimball): facts/dimensions, grain, conformed dimensions, surrogate keys
- Experience working with legacy warehouse patterns and complex transformations
- Familiarity with Microsoft data ecosystem (ideally including Microsoft Fabric and broader Azure data services)
- Understanding of Power BI semantic models / analytical layer concepts
- Comfortable working on-site, engaging confidently with both business + technical stakeholders
