About the Opportunity
  • This is a temporary role until 30 June 2027, based in Grey Lynn Auckland
  • Hybrid working is available once you’re up to speed
  • This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a vital government support agency
  • This is a varied role where no two days are the same, providing essential administrative and operational support to help ensure high-quality services are delivered
  • As the Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations. Working across administration, finance, fleet, and health & safety functions, you'll be responsible for ensuring processes are efficient, compliant, and customer focused
  • You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and providing responsive support that enables the wider team to deliver positive outcomes
  • Coordinate travel bookings, meetings, correspondence, reports, and document management
  • Manage office supplies, records, and filing systems
  • Assist with onboarding, inductions, and recruitment administration
  • Process and maintain financial documentation and systems
  • Support purchasing and procurement activities
  • Provide payroll support, ensuring accuracy
  • Coordinate fleet administration, ensuring vehicles remain compliant and well maintained
  • Coordinate building repairs, maintenance activities, and workplace asset requirements
  • Support health, safety, and security processes
  • Promote safe work practices and assist with incident reporting and follow-up activities
  • Monitor procedures and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and service delivery

What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in administration or a similar role
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confidence working with systems, documents, and confidential information
  • A professional and approachable communication style, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people
  • A proactive mindset, with a willingness to take initiative and support where needed
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder liaison skills
  • Cultural awareness, including knowledge of te reo Māori, is desirable.
