About the Opportunity 
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Analyst to support senior stakeholders in a large Australasian business, operating within the complex world of FMCG!
  • You’ll partner closely with Sales, providing commercial insight across trading terms, pricing, promotional profitability and planning cycles to drive better decisions and outcomes.
  • Own the channel performance rhythm: month-end close, commentary, insights, reconciliations and reporting
  • Lead financial planning inputs across S&OP, forecasting, budgeting and long-range planning
  • Managing trade promotional investment governance and ROI
What You’ll Bring
  • It is likely that the ideal candidate will be CA / CPA qualified or similar.
  • You will have a minimum of 4+ years’ experience in commercial finance, ideally this will be within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong stakeholder influencing skills and confident business partnering style
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint (Power BI a plus)
  • Analytical, organised, deadline-driven, and able to work autonomously

What you'll be doing This role will have you supporting in the:Preparation of monthly management reports and dashboardsAnnual budget and quarterly forecastsProvision of information for Board and ELT reporting packsCommentary  and analysis to explain the story behind the results. You’ll also help build models for pricing, profitability and investment decisions, support business cases and capex requests, and analyse branch, product and customer profitability to find ways to lift margins and efficiency. If you enjoy process improvement, you'll have genuine scope to automate reporting and cut down the manual work. You'll work closely across the departments, with regular visibility to the CFO, CEO and leadership team. What You’ll Bring A degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar, with CA or CPA (or working towards) preferredExperience supporting FP&A activities, commercial finance or management accountingAdvanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills.A sharp eye for detail and the ability to explain numbers clearly to non-finance peopleThis may also suit someone coming out of the Big 4 who has extensive audit experience.
